Whispered Interpreting

In whispered interpreting, simultaneous interpreters sit next to the people who do not understand the source language and whisper the interpretation in their ears, without using any equipment.  The clients are usually part of the audience in a meeting, conference or court, and is very conveniently used when the number of clients requiring interpreting is no more than two people.

Similarly to Consecutive Interpreting, Whispered Interpreting has the benefit that it does not require any technical equipment nor the relevant personnel.

However, as regards this type of interpreting, the disturbance caused in the room by the interpreter (although she/he may whisper) and the poor sound quality for both the interpreter and the client, must be taken into consideration.

At Lectio Translations we have both the experience and the expertise to recommend the most cost-efficient type of interpreting for your individual needs.

Trust us! We are eager to cover your needs in translations, interpreting and multimedia services.
